A celebration of the recent “Topping Out” of our project on Eglinton Road, one of the most desirable addresses in Donnybrook, was hosted by Elliott Group and Richmond Homes this week.
Having topped out in January and in recognition 340,000 man hours LTI Free of, each member of the team gathered at level 12, which offered a panoramic view of everything from the Aviva stadium to the Wicklow Mountains, to officially mark this significant milestone.
When complete, the development on Eglinton Road will provide 139 apartments, nine Duplex units and resident amenities over 12 floors with a basement carpark.
With an average of 210 operatives onsite daily, the project has logged over 340,000 man hours. Significant progress has been made on this A-rated development with 12,000 cubic meters of concrete poured. All the concrete used on the project contains GGBS (Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag) which is a by-product of iron manufacturing. Not only does this increase the strength and durability of the concrete structure, but it also has considerable sustainability benefits and does not produce carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, or nitrogen oxides.
A total of 42 460W A-Class PV panels will be installed at the development. There will be a 1,000 square meter sedum/green roof, landscaped rooftop terraces, and extensive planting and landscaping throughout the courtyard and boundary. The car park will have EV car chargers as well as provisions to convert every parking space into a charging station in the future. We have also provided EV charging on site for or Electrical Fleet vehicles.
This landmark development is perfectly located at the entrance to Dublin City, on the corner of Eglinton Road and Donnybrook Road. Overlooking an internal courtyard garden, these contemporary style apartments will be light-filled and generously sized.
Elliott Group would like to thank our project team, who have continuously demonstrated their dedication and commitment throughout, as well as our client Richmond Homes and Design Team members Altu Architects, OCSC, Access Consultancy, ORS, KSN, Jensen Hughes, Billings Design and, Stephen Diamond Associates. We would also like to pay special tribute to all our subcontractors, for working safely in partnership with us.
